A limited number of walk up registrations may be available. \nParking / Parking Shuttles\nWe expect all onsite lots to fill early and remain at capacity throughout the day. Our lot attendants will be directing drivers to offsite parking when our lots reach capacity. Offsite parking is available at the Logan Square lot on Johnson Highway and Markley Street\, as well as at the Eisenhower School on Coolidge Blvd. Both lots will be serviced by shuttles that will transport guests to the Zoo’s main entrance. A limited amount of street parking may be available on a first come basis.\nIllegal Parking\nNorristown Police will be patrolling the area throughout the day\, and vehicles parked illegally will be fined and towed at their owner’s expense. Please respect our neighbors and avoid parking on their lawns and blocking their sidewalks and driveways.\nAnimal Exhibits\nAnimal exhibits\, including Trail of the Jaguar\, Habitat HQ and Harmony Hideaway close at 5 PM. Brown serves as the Giraffe Conservation Foundation’s Science Coordinator where he is responsible to ensure that all conservation initiatives are supported by the most rigorous science available. Michael brings a passion for conservation and a wealth of experience in both field research and applied quantitative ecology; seeking to integrate nuanced ecological perspectives into meaningful conservation action. Michael holds an MA in Conservation Biology from Columbia University and a PhD in Ecology\, Evolution\, Ecosystems and Society from Dartmouth College (USA). He worked as a field programme manager for Princeton University in Kenya and held a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Smithsonian National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute. Michael is committed to developing and applying cutting edge technology and analytical frameworks for deepening understandings of how giraffe interact with their environments throughout Africa. Combining diverse scientific perspectives including giraffe movement\, population dynamics\, foraging\, and behavior\, Michael coordinates research with diverse academic\, government and NGO partners to translate science into meaningful strategy and action. Michael also currently serves as the Co-Chair of the IUCN SSC Giraffe and Okapi Specialist Group.
