Celebrate Dad with a day packed with family fun at Elmwood Park Zoo! On Father’s Day, all dads receive FREE admission and can enjoy a full day of activities, entertainment, and unforgettable memories with their favorite little adventurers.
Put your skills to the test in our Pinewood Derby races, enjoy live music throughout the Zoo, and grab a classic summertime favorite with $1 hot dogs available for purchase. Plus, stop by ZooBrew for special Father’s Day beer offerings, including the debut of a brand-new beer collaboration with a local brewery. We’re keeping the brewery under wraps for now, so come out and be among the first to find out who’s behind our newest Zoo-inspired brew!

Design, build, and race your own custom car, or just cheer on the competition, in races that speed down the track all afternoon.
Winner receives a trophy and a Family Membership to the Zoo!
A $10 per racer registration fee is required to race in the Derby. Bring your own pinewood car or purchase a kit from the Zoo and customize it before the event. Kits will be available for pick up at check-in during regular Zoo operating hours; please have your purchase receipt available.
