TICKETING Representative

Experience: Some Experience Required – Customer Service, Cash Handling, and Point of Sale
Title: Ticketing Representative
Employment Type: Part Time – Seasonal
Pay Rate: $15.00/hour
Reports To: Guest Services Management
Schedule: Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Schedule varies and is dependent on the event calendar, weather, and guest attendance.

EPZ Team Member Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Zoo in fostering an appreciation of wildlife and their habitat that will inspire active participation in conservation
  • Assist management in ensuring safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in all areas of the operation of the Zoo
  • Follow and adhere to all policies and procedures for their specific department and the Zoo at all times

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Support the overall Guest Services Department front line operation which may include – processing park ticket sales, scanning tickets, mobility fleet rentals and facilitating entry into
    the park
  • Handle all membership sales, inquiries, and engage with park guests to promote annual membership benefits
  • Facilitates guest entry and line control, including directing guests while on a vocal amplifier and public speaking
  • Able to keep a balanced cash drawer, collecting payments and providing correct change, and operating a point of sale system
  • Communicate effectively with both adults and children in both group and individual settings
  • Must be able to enforce all entry policies and zoo rules (ticket validity, restricted items, etc.)
  • Communicating with other departments regarding deliveries, meetings, experiences, and
    tours
  • Must be comfortable with conflict resolution and de-escalation, with the ability to remain composed and attentive when interacting with the public
  • Operation of point-of-sale systems
  • Being attentive to all guest needs stated and implied
  • Providing engaging and supportive service to all guests
  • Informs managers of comments, complaints, or concerns
  • Assist in the Guest Services Department as per business needs
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by Guest Services Management
  • Assist with working, operating, and executing programming and events hosted by the Zoo

Qualification Requirements:

  • Prior cash handling experience required
  • Prior sales experience required
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift and/or move 30 pounds
  • Comfortable being exposed to all weather conditions
  • Must be able to pass background and child abuse clearances
  • Two forms of official valid identification are required
