Title: Guest Service Lead

Pay Rate: $17/hour
Reports To: Guest Services Management

Schedule: Must be able to work 30 – 40 hour week. Must be able to work evenings, weekends
and holidays. Schedule varies and is dependent on the event calendar, weather, and guest
attendance.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Must have operational knowledge of all Guest Services positions and responsibilities.
  • Assists in overseeing the frontline operations of the department, ensuring that all
    positions are running efficiently and policies are being followed.
  • Main point of contact for the guest services team, for questions or concerns about their
    positions.
  • Assists with filling out the positions board and other opening and closing procedures for
    the department.
  • Assists with drawer closeouts at the end of the shift.
  • Helps to answer guest questions and concerns.

Qualification Requirements:

  • This position may require prolonged standing
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs
  • Must be able to work inside or outside in a variety of weather conditions
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends for our Wild Lights program
  • Bilingual is a plus
  • First aid and CPR training is preferred
  • RAMP Certification is a plus
  • Must be at least 18 years or older
  • Computer skills: Windows, Point of Sale software, Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to Multi-task and address needs in multiple areas of the Zoo
  • Must be able to pass background and child abuse clearances
  • Two forms of official valid identification are required
