Temminck’s tragopan are one of Earth’s five tragopan species. The males of this species are recognizable by their red-orange plumage and bright blue facial feathers.

Habitat & Range
These pheasants can be found in south Asia, northeast India, northwest Vietnam, Tibet, and northern provinces of China.
Identification
Temminck's tragopans are typically medium in size and display sexual dimorphism. Males are brightly colored, with red and orange plumage while the females feathers are brown.
Diet
This pheasant's diet consists of berries, grass and plants.
Reproduction & Lifespan
These pheasants breed in the springtime. When a male attempts to impress a potential mate, he will perform an act of courtship that includes expanding their colorful feathers. Eggs incubate for about 28 days, and hatchlings attain sexual maturity at around 2 years of age. In captivity, they live about 20 years.
