Habitat & Range
The Pallas's cat has a large range that spans Central Asia, with concentrations in Mongolia, the Tibetan mountain ranges in western China, and southern Russia
Identification
This feline has an extremely fluffy coat that helps it adapt to the cold climates it inhabits. Their bodies are stocky and low to the ground, and their faces are flat and wide. Their large eyes and squashed facial features give them a distinct "grumpy" look.
Diet
Pallas's cats are carnivores that feed primarily on small mammals and birds, along with the occasional reptile and insect.
Reproduction & Lifespan
This species is typically solitary and only come together to mate. Mothers give birth to litters of 3 to 6 kittens, and those kittens become independent at just 5 to 6 months of age. They can live 8 to 10 years in the wild, and more than 12 years in captivity.

The large amount of fur on a Pallas's cat hides a surprising small body. They typically weigh only 5 to 10 pounds.
