Reproduction & Lifespan
Male and female breeding pairs tend to form long-term bonds. Females lay up to nine eggs at a time in their clutch; both parents will raise fledglings. Coscoroba swans can live up to 20 years in captivity

Coscoroba swans will vocalize a "cos-cor-oo" call when they feel threatened. They also hoot as a contact call between mates.
